(Re: the comment on the previous post...) No banana pancakes this past weekend, but TWO weekends ago, I made a go at making my own. They turned out very well, actually. They were not only beautiful but also tasted divine. :) I also made a sort of blackberry syrup for them. Mmmmmmm... brings back memories of sunny days in La Jolla.
And since we're speaking of breakfasts... I had breakfast in bed one day last week. Now, I know some of you would consider that to be a scandalous and shocking announcement, but never fear. I got up on Valentine's morning, made myself a nice breakfast... bacon, eggs and grapefruit... and took it back to bed to eat. It was absolutely delightful. The only thing that could have made it better (besides having it served by a loving husband) would have been to have it served on one of those little "breakfast-in-bed" trays. Maybe I need to get one of those...
